Welcome to the Lancaster City Housing Authority!

We provide affordable housing to eligible single persons, couples and families within the city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The Lancaster City Housing Authority (LCHA) owns and operates 564 public housing units which consist of 259 family units and 305 elderly units set in 6 public housing developments: Susquehanna Court, Franklin Terrace, Church Street Towers, Farnum Street East, and Scattered Sites I & II.

This housing is provided through the conventional Public Housing Program and the various Section 8 Assisted Housing (Housing Choice Voucher) programs.

LCHA's commitment to the community can be summed up by saying that we are here to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low and moderate income individuals and families, retired persons and persons with disabilities.

Additionally, the LCHA administers a sizable modernization program and a broad range of resident initiative activities for its public housing residents and Section 8 clients.
