The
LCHA Champagne Club promotes the appreciation of employees within the agency by
organizing annual picnics, luncheons, small fundraisers and sending cards
and flowers to employees. The Champagne Club was formed in October
1998 and
its purpose is to boost employee morale by recognizing the daily efforts
and hard work performed by LCHA employees.
The main
"Fun"-raisers for the Champagne Club that provide the funds for their
activities comes through selling snacks and sodas in the LCHA Main Lunch
Room and the nominal fees charged for the various luncheons (Ice Cream
Social, Soup Day, Chili Day, etc.) for employees.
Some of those
funds are used to pay for:

flowers/balloons when someone is in the hospital or when someone loses a
close family member |

door prizes for
the annual employee Christmas luncheon |
|
gift for
retirees or employees that leave the LCHA |
|
annual employee Thanksgiving luncheon |
|
annual Maintenance
Staff Appreciation luncheon |
