Our primary mission is, of course, to provide affordable housing to eligible families and individuals. But we do so much more. And all that we do accomplish would not be possible without the skill and dedication of our professional staff here at the LCHA. They ensure that year after year nearly 1,500 families in Lancaster City receive decent, affordable housing and a host of high quality self-sufficiency programming.

I’m confident you’ll discover that a housing authority is much more than you have ever imagined. Most of all, I hope you learn that our Public Housing residents and Section 8 clients are hard-working, law-abiding Lancastrians. They are deserving of the assistance they receive; and many are striving to improve their lives by working toward higher education levels, new or better jobs, and buying their own homes.
